COMPLEXIONS CONTEMPORARY BALLET

Hailed as a “matchless American dance company” by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, led by the legendary Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson, has captivated audiences for nearly three decades with their singular approach of reinventing dance and contemporary ballet. The evening’s dynamic program of Rhoden works includes a NOBA-commissioned world premiere to the live music of New Orleans native and visionary jazz musician Chief Adjuah (formerly Christian Scott) and Ballad Unto, a high-intensity work to the music of J.S. Bach. The evening closes with LOVE ROCKS, set to the Rock ‘n Soul music of GRAMMY® Award-winning singer-songwriter Lenny Kravitz.
