This gorgeous company of “the most technically accomplished and musical dancers you’ll find in the contemporary sphere” (The Washington Post) brings an evening of electrifying dance that celebrates the diverse and passionate voices of today’s Latino artists.
“When Ballet Hispánico’s dancers take the stage, watch out. Their joy is infectious.” -Newsday
NOBA Virtual Winter Concert -
Premiered Friday, December 11 | 6:30pm CST
Join the New Orleans Ballet Association (NOBA) for a special, virtual evening of dance showcasing excerpts from the magical production of The Nutcracker Suite and other holiday highlights by the young artists of NOBA’s Center for Dance. This virtual production was filmed this fall at seven NORD recreation centers throughout the New Orleans area, and also features archived footage from last year’s production of The Nutcracker Suite at Tulane’s Dixon Hall. Plus, don’t miss festive performances from NOBA’s virtual Dance for Parkinson’s program, Freedom of Movement program for Veterans, and more!
“To me, being able to learn Nutcracker choreography and be part of NOBA’s upcoming Virtual Winter Concert means that even with COVID we can come together to make this holiday tradition possible, and still have it available for our family and friends to enjoy. Access to NOBA’s programs is so important to me and my family because I can be active and do what I love, all at no cost.” – NOBA Student
“I love that my daughter can be part of this special event. It is great for her to learn and perform a dance from The Nutcracker, which for her, is a favorite to watch every season. I love the opportunity that is given to my child to do something she love so much, which would not be possible if we had to cover the costs.” – NOBA Parent
